@Fai-Wong do you mean that GPIOX (as in python code) is controlling the GPIOX (as shown on dock)? I mean the electrical traces seem to be identical so where the GPIO pins are listed in the 2 dock they are actually still on the 1 dock. Just the names have changed. Basically I did not have to change the dock because I could still use the same GPIO pins as if it was a 2 dock but taking into account the gotcha of using GPIO pins 1 6 7 8 and 45 as per the annotated pinout otherwise the Omega might not boot. Handy. The hardware is built now and works fine just need to concentrate on the software.

I am planning to create my own custom dock. Instead of CP2102 USB to serial converter, I am planning to user CH340G which is easy to solder. For power supply, I am planning to user AMS1117 since I assume that Omega2 does not require more than 300mA. I notice that in the schematic, the voltage divider is used between PC_TXD and RXD. Is it to reduce the 5V to 3.3V? I am planning to use CH340G with 3.3V power supply. Something like this. If do so, should I use the voltage divider network? I assume that I don't have to use. Will post the schematic for the review once I complete.

@Benjamin-Rau I have just had a play with my Omega and pins 13 and 14 when set as input both operate equally and as expected. Unless there is a problem with my Omega, there are a few things you could check (forgive me if these are obvious to you or you have already done them :-)): Are you sure that the circuitry is the same for 13 and 14? Is the code used to access each of 13 and 14 the same? Is there anything else that is using one pin but not the other? If you are using mechanical switches to control the pins, do you have a suitable pull-up/pull-down resistor to pull the pins to the appropriate state when the switch is open? If you are using mechanical switches, do you have suitable de-bounce circuitry to account for noise? A capacitor in parallel with the switch (along with the use of pull-up/pull-down resistors) should handle this

@Paul-Karlik: These pins are not broken out on the Expansion dock. They are simply connected to the RGB LED.
